The function of standing committees is to bring as many members as possible into the operation of the Alano club. Standing committees may act in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors. Standing Committees make recommendations to the board, but policy shall be set by the board. (bylaws  sec. III)

A. PUBLIC RELATIONS AND PUBLICITY COMMITTEE
B. RULES AND PROCEDURES COMMITTEE
C. PERSONAL AND MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
D. HOUSING COMMITTEE
E. FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

H. AD HOC COMMITTEES: Ad Hoc committees shall be formed to address specific issues that do not fall under the responsibilities of standing committees. They shall exist until such time as the issue is resolved and then will disband.
