The Live & Let Live Alano Club

  1. The possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, or any other drugs, on the premises is forbidden.  Carrying firearms, stun-guns, knives, or any other weapons on the Club premises is strictly forbidden. Violators will be asked to leave immediately.  Failure to comply will result in the summoning of police and permanent expulsion from the club.
  2. Anyone, member(s) and non-member(s), under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be subject to removal unless accompanied by a sober member for the purpose of attending a 12-Step or recovery meeting.
  3. The Club is a private, “members-only” facility that is open to the public for 12-Step & recovery meetings.  Non-members are permitted access to the coffee bar & lounge 15-minutes prior to 15-minutes following any recovery meeting.
  4. Non-members “hanging out” in the coffee bar & lounge during recovery meetings will be directed to attend a meeting in progress; anyone who fails to comply will be subject to removal from the Club.
  5. Non-members are welcome throughout the Club during business hours when invited as a guest, and accompanied, by a Club member.
  6. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a Club member.
  7. Obscene acts or acts suggesting lewdness are prohibited.  This Club is a social, model-recovery facility.  Carrying the recovery message is often done by example and proper conduct.
  8. Only service animals, as defined by federal, state, and municipal law, are allowed.  Companion animals and pets are forbidden on Club premises.
  9. No panhandling or gambling is permitted on the Club premises.
  10. Abusive language is not permitted and obscene language should be avoided.
  11. Please refrain from spreading gossip.  It can, and does, create problems among our members, and for the Club!
  12. Only one person is allowed in a restroom at a time.
  13. Threats or violent behavior towards a member(s), volunteer(s), or staff of this Club will not be tolerated.  Appropriate action will be taken to deal with such instances up to and including permanent expulsion from the Club.
  14. No sleeping, crashing, or “resting of eyes” is permitted on premises.  The Club is not a homeless shelter, crisis house, nor a residential facility.
  15. No personal phone calls are to be made on the Club’s phone.
  16. All members and guests are responsible for cleaning up after themselves.  This included meeting areas, snack bar counter, and all common areas.  Trash should be placed into trash cans.  Newspapers, literature and books should be returned to the racks or thrown away.  Recycling containers are also available.
  17. Remember, outside you are representing our Club.  Throwing cigarette butts or trash on the ground doesn’t present a good image.  There are trash and ash cans outside – use them!
  18. Smoking is not allowed within 20 feet of any building entrance.
  19. Everyone is responsible for complying with these guidelines.  Your cooperation and compliance with the guidelines will help to make the Alano Club a safe, clean place for recovery, sociability, and service for all.
